SILVER SPRING, Md., Sept. 26 (UPI) -- U.S. company Total Security Services International has been contracted to support the Center for Security Training and Technology training facility.

TSSI received the contract from Weston Solutions Inc. to support the C-STAT counter-terrorism and disaster response training facility. Under the deal, TSSI will provide promotion and market services to C-STAT, the first all-hazards training facility in the United States.

C-STAT is an effort to establish a crisis management and counter-terrorism training facility for law enforcement, military and emergency response personnel.

TSSI, a company with specialists focused on homeland security and critical infrastructure protection, will be responsible for helping to establish business and defense partnerships for C-STAT.

"At TSSI we firmly believe in taking a proactive approach to protecting our nation's critical infrastructure, and we follow a total preparedness methodology," Don Rondeau, TSSI president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"To be truly protected and prepared, we must engage both the public and the private sector. This training facility will pave the way for improved threat identification and analysis, planning, asset protection, rapid response and recovery, and training programs."
