
UNIONDALE, N.J., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- Sikorsky has contracted Breeze-Eastern Corp. for winch technologies in support of a CH-53K heavy-lift helicopter deal with for the U.S. Marine Corps.
New Jersey-based Breeze-Eastern was selected by Sikorsky to supply its Internal Cargo Winch System for the CH-53K Super Stallion heavy lift helicopter.
Under the deal, Breeze-Eastern will be expected to deliver five of the winch systems in support of the Marine Corps contract with Sikorsky.
"Breeze-Eastern is proud to again be chosen by Sikorsky for such a significant program for our military," Robert White, Breeze-Eastern president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"Building on our expertise in the cargo winch market ... Breeze-Eastern will continue this success by delivering a state of the art winch system to Sikorsky and the Marine Corps."
