ALEXANDRIA, Va., Aug. 29 (UPI) -- The Defense Logistics Agency has contracted Agility Defense and Government Services to support Defense Department distribution services in the Middle East.

The Defense Logistics Agency awarded a one-year follow-on deal to Agility DGS to continue supporting the Defense Distribution Center, Kuwait/Southwest Asia, with warehouse and distribution services.

Virginia-based Agility DGS, which has been contracted to support the DDKS since 2005, will continue to provide warehouse management through the use of the company's facilities in Kuwait.

"We are very proud of both our outstanding performance and the confidence that we have earned with Defense Logistics Agency," Dan Mongeon, Agility DGS president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"Our advanced logistics experience, capabilities and facilities are unsurpassed in Kuwait. We are uniquely suited to continue helping the DDKS provide outstanding support to the U.S. military."
