RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Aug. 25 (UPI) -- The Oklahoma National Guard has contracted Cyberlux Corp. for the company's BrightEye lighting technologies.

Under the deal, North Carolina-based Cyberlux will provide its BrightEye Tactical Illumination Systems, a portable lighting system capable of lighting a target area up to 1,000 feet, to the Oklahoma National Guard.

Officials from Cyberlux say the contract marks the 23rd state to contract the company for its BrightEye light technologies for deployment in the National Guard.

"The manufacturing and logistics planning that has gone into our production model for the variety of tactical lighting systems has been tedious and time-consuming, but enabling this capability was necessary," Mark Schmidt, Cyberlux president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.

"We have experienced suppliers in place, our facility is equipped, and our employees are excited to deliver on such a large opportunity."
