ROANOKE, Va., Aug. 20 (UPI) -- The British Ministry of Defense has contracted ITT Corp. for the company's head-mounted night-vision monocular technologies.
Virginia-based ITT says its Night Vision business unit received a $23 million contract to supply its Head-Mounted Night Vision Systems to support British military operations.
ITT, which has been contracted by the British Ministry of Defense since its original deal for night-vision technologies in 2002, will continue to work with its England-based sister division, ITT Defense Ltd., to provide maintenance support for the new Head-Mounted Night Vision Systems deal.
"We are happy to continue supporting one of our key international allies," Mike Hayman, ITT Night Vision president, said in a statement.
"Our goal is to continue to support the international market through growing relationships, such as this one with the British Ministry of Defense."
