TACOM modifies two deals with ADSI

HICKSVILLE, N.Y., Aug. 13 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has modified two contracts with American Defense Systems Inc., adding additional armor technologies to the deal.

Officials say New York-based protective armor developer ADSI's contract modifications from the Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command total more that $1 million.

Under the first modification, ADSI will supply TACOM with additional heavy armor technologies. The second adjustment is for the company's field service representative on-site product support services.

"We are pleased to be awarded these modifications and are proud to partner with the United States Army TACOM in providing equipment and services that are vital to U.S. war fighting and nation building efforts," Ferg Foley, ADSI chief operations officer, said in a statement.

"We believe these follow-on orders are further evidence of ADSI's customer satisfaction and our commitment to delivering superior-quality products and field service support."
