ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 18 (UPI) -- The U.S. Air Force has selected VSE Corp. for a prime contract under the Contract Field Teams Program to support maintenance, repair and modernization work.
As part of the CFT Program, Virginia-based VSE will support various Air Force maintenance, repair and modernization requirements on equipment and systems.
Officials say the CFT, a program that distributes approximately $10.12 billion worth of contracts, is a U.S. Defense Department initiative to have contractors available for rapid deployment and long-term support services.
"The CFT Program has successfully supported maintenance requirements for the Air Force and other military services across the country and around the world for over 50 years," William Wright, VSE assistant vice president, said in a statement.
"We are very pleased to be one of the companies selected to join the impressive list of contractor teams ensuring that our armed forces have the support they need to defend our country and support our national security."
