SPRINGFIELD, Va., July 7 (UPI) -- The U.S. Army has contracted Versar Inc. to provide the Army Corps of Engineers in Mobile, Ala., with support services.
Virginia-based Versar, a professional services firm supporting national defense and homeland security programs, was awarded a four-year task order worth up to $30 million if all options are exercised.
The contract is from the Mobile District of the Army Corps of Engineers. Officials say Versar will perform a wide range of environmental, planning services in support of the Mobile District's operations.
"This contract award will allow Versar to continue to expand our presence in the Southeast United States," Ted Prociv, Versar president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"It will provide a platform for expanding our professional services and environmental project management businesses."
