RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., June 4 (UPI) -- North Carolina-based Cyberlux Corp. has been awarded national stocking numbers for its military technologies from the Defense Logistics Agency.

Cyberlux is a developer of light emitting diode technologies deployed by the U.S. military and NATO, among other security and defense organizations around the world. With the DLA stocking number for Cyberlux's WatchDog and BrightEye tactical lighting systems, company officials say they will be able to expand their reach into the global military market.

The WatchDog and BrightEye technologies offer infrared LED lighting that enables soldiers and emergency responders operational capabilities in low-light environments at night, among other applications.

"Gaining national stocking numbers for our WatchDog and BrightEye products is an important step in the expansion of our supply capabilities within the Department of Defense purchasing community," Mark Schmidt, Cyberlux president and chief operating officer, said in a statement.

"With these national stocking number designations, our tactical lighting systems are now available to all purchasing organizations within the U.S. government as well as the global military community."
