COSTA MESA, Calif., March 21 (UPI) -- Bio-Clean Corp. says that it has received orders for its weapons and parts cleaning products from soldiers located in Afghanistan's combat zones.
Bio-Clean, a subsidiary of California-based Bio-Clean International Inc., says that weapons maintenance issues faced by U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan have resulted in orders for the company's cleaning fluid products directly from combat regions to keep weapons operating at full capacity.
"With 12 of our weapons- and parts-cleaning equipment units in use in Afghanistan, it is not unusual for boots-on-the-ground soldiers in charge of maintenance issues to contact us directly to facilitate the re-supply of our environmentally-safe cleaning fluids," James E. Shipley, Bio-Clean International president and chief executive officer, said in a statement.
"Our employees are also working with those same U.S. soldiers to ensure that they have on hand in Afghanistan the various replacement parts which might be needed for optimum usage of our custom-designed cleaning equipment."
Shipley says the company's weapons cleaning offerings are an effort to provide troops an efficient method to keep their weapons and equipment working properly when facing threats in the field.
