BROOMFIELD, Colo., March 18 (UPI) -- Colorado-based MWH says it has been awarded a contract from the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment to support architecture initiatives.

The announced contract with MWH is part of the AFCEE's five-year $3 billion Air Force 4P Architecture Engineering 08 program. Under the five-year deal MWH will provide architect-engineering and environmental design and study services for military construction and military family housing among other Air Force modernization plans.

"We are very pleased to be selected as an AFCEE 4P 08 contractor," Gary Erickson, MWH's federal operations president, said in a statement. "We look forward to supporting AFCEE in their mission to protect, restore and sustain the nation's environmental and installation resources, and we're honored to be a part of the Air Force's overall transformation efforts."

MWH has been contracted for various AFCEE programs for 14 years providing architect-engineering and environmental services including restoration, conservation and pollution prevention among other Air Force initiatives.
