SAN DIEGO, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- The U.S. Marine Corps announced it has signed a deal with RF Industries for the company to support the Marines' integrated personnel tracking system.

RF Industries says work on the $335,000 global positioning system-based integrated radio system contract will performed by its RF Neulink Telemetry division.

"The IGRS is an advanced personnel tracking system which will provide the U.S. Marine Corps with GPS-based real-time tracking, position and status information for personnel engaged in battlefield activities," Robert White, Neulink sales and marketing director, said in a statement. "We hope to announce further contracts for this project later this year."

RF Industries is a designer of radio frequency coaxial connectors and cable assembly technologies for aerospace, original equipment manufacturers and government agencies for end-to-end network solutions for public safety and emergency response personnel.
