Octave Allegro, an information security risk assessment management technology, is an upgrade to Octave and developed by Carnegie Mellon SEI for federal agencies. SEI announced it has verified that the new DDI risk assessment tool is compliant with Octave.

"We are very pleased that SEI has determined our risk assessment management tool is compliant to Octave Allegro," Tom DeSot, Digital Defense chief compliance officer, said in a statement. "Our clients have been looking forward to using this platform to help them manage the large amounts of data that must be collected and analyzed during an information security risk assessment. Our new tool, in combination with one of our service offerings, greatly eases this management burden for our clients."

Company officials say the new management tool will be offered to organizations that contract Digital Defense for its information security risk assessment services.
