The company announced retired Vice Adm. Richard Naughton has been elected to JMAR's board of directors in an effort to support the development of programs for the U.S. Department of Defense.

“It’s a pleasure to welcome an individual of Dick Naughton’s caliber to the JMAR Board,” Charles Dickinson, JMAR chairman of the board, said in a statement. “His experience in building early stage businesses will be of great benefit to our commercialization efforts, and his extensive military background will support better definition of mission requirements for our development programs with defense and homeland security agencies.”

Retiring from active military duty in 2004, Naughton brings to JMAR more than 15 years of top-level executive management experience from his work as superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy and as commander of the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center among other military assignments.
