India, Pakistan restore diplomatic ties

NEW DELHI, May 28 (UPI) -- Pakistan has selected Foreign Ministry spokesman Aziz Ahmed Khan as Islamabad's High Commissioner to India. New Delhi Wednesday approved Khan's appointment, paving way for restoration of full-scale diplomatic relations between the countries, which have experienced tensions since their formation more than 50 years ago.
