Israel's and Qatar's foreign ministers met in Paris, Wednesday, in an effort to improve relations despite the ongoing Palestinian intifada. Israel's Silvan Shalom
said he hoped having "an open, running, close contact with the foreign minister of an Arab state" might "encourage other states."
