EU warns Turkey over Cyprus

BRUSSELS, March 11 (UPI) -- The European Commission said Turkey was hurting its chances of joining the European Union unless it recognized Cyprus, due to join the EU next year. U.N.-brokered talks aimed at reunifying the island broke down in The Hague early Tuesday.
