Turkey gets Patriot missile protection

WASHINGTON, March 6 (UPI) -- NATO deployed three Dutch-owned Patriot air defense missile batteries in southeastern Turkey, the alliance announced Thursday. NATO advance warning AWAC planes have been patrolling Turkish skies since Feb. 26 to help protect the country from a possible Iraqi missile launch or air attack.
