Belgium legalizes gay marriages

BRUSSELS, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Belgium became only the second country in the world to legalize same-sex marriages late Thursday. The parliament overwhelmingly adopted a law giving gay couples almost the same rights as heterosexuals.
