WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- People magazine, in its annual Sexiest Man Alive issue, has named U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, 70, the "sexiest Cabinet member."
People lauds Rumsfeld for his "blunt talk and wry humor," and quotes CNN Pentagon Correspondent Barbara Starr calling him a "big flirty pussycat."
Rumsfeld is also praised for his actions at the Pentagon on Sept. 11, 2001, when he picked up a stretcher to try to help the victims of the terrorist attack.
Rumsfeld joins actors George Clooney, Tom Cruise and John Leguziamo and 19 others in the issue, having beat out the likes of Attorney General John Ashcroft and Transportation Secretary Norm Mineta for the honor.
Movie star and Jennifer Lopez' fiancé, Ben Affleck, is on the cover as the "sexiest man alive."
