No EU welcome mat for Belarus leader

BRUSSELS, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Fourteen of the European Union's 15 member states slapped a travel ban Tuesday on Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko and key members of his ruling regime because of continued human rights violations in the country. The decision follows the Czech Republic's refusal to grant him a visa to attend the NATO summit later this week.
