BEIRUT, Lebanon, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Iraqi Vice President Taha Yassin Ramadan Friday rejected any comparison between Iraq and Afghanistan and said the Iraqi opposition cannot play any role in overthrowing the Baghdad regime. Speaking after a meeting with Lebanese President Emile Lahoud in Beirut, Ramadan said only dialogue with the United Nations could resolve the Iraqi problem.
