Israeli-Arab minister resigns

TEL AVIV, Israel, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Israel's first -- and only -- Arab minister, Salah Tarif, resigned Sunday anticipating criminal charges in an alleged bribery scandal. The outgoing minister said in his letter of resignation he was quitting because of "the latest false publications and the Attorney General's determination to bring the liable against me to a judicial decision."
