COLOMBO, Sri Lanka, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- The head of the Tamil Tigers on Tuesday appeared to drop his demand for an independent Tamil homeland in the north and east of Sri Lanka. "The Tamil people ... want to determine their own political and economic life; they want to be on their own," Velupillai Prabhakaran said. "It is neither separatism nor terrorism."
