ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- The Taliban militia Friday denied reports that its so-called Supreme leader, Mullah Mohammed Omar, had left his stronghold in the southern Afghan city of Kandahar and handed power there to his deputy. Omar himself issued a statement saying that the U.N.-sponsored meeting of Afghan factions in Bonn next week.
