BELFAST, Northern Ireland, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Senior British ministers had urgent consultations with Northern Ireland's politicians on Friday to stave off a crisis after a provincial assembly vote blocked First Minister David Trimble from resuming his post. The power-sharing executive has just been revived after the Irish Republican Army struck a compromise on disarmament.
