Tycoon bids to buy oil firm's stake in TV

MOSCOW, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Self-exiled Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky offered to buy out a portion of TV-6 television network, which is owned by a subsidiary of the state-owned oil giant, the Kommersant newspaper reported Wednesday. Berezovsky bid $10 million for the 15-percent stake owned by LUKOIL-Garant, an insurance fund affiliated to LUKOIL.
