British child sex abuser arrested in Spain

BENIDORM, Spain, April 25 (UPI) -- Spanish police arrested a 47-year-old British man who was on the run after being sentenced to 10 years in jail for sexual abuse of minors, thinkSpain reported.

The man, whose name was not reported, was arrested in Benidorm, Spain, following a manhunt in Costa Blanca, the news service said Thursday.

Officials had issued a European arrest warrant for the man, who had been sentenced to jail in Edinburgh, Scotland.
