Teen solves centuries-old math problem
WASHINGTON, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency announced a meeting with China to discuss environmental quality.
EPA Administrator Stephen L. Johnson will visit China to discuss advanced cooperation between public and private partners in China.
With a rapidly growing population and economy, China, which traditionally uses coal-fired generators to provide power, has begun focusing on becoming a better environmental steward.
Johnson will hold a roundtable discussion of U.S. and Chinese business leaders about the importance of strong environmental regulation and enforcement. He will explain the close link between the economy and the environment. He also will meet with officials from the Northwest Regional Supervision Center and the provincial Environmental Protection Bureau to discuss policy and share best practices.
