SAN DIEGO, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- California-based Helix Wind announced a sales agreement with Energy Development Argentina.
The small wind turbine and vertical wind turbine manufacturer said it has signed a sales agreement with Energy Development Argentina, a renewable energy distributor in Argentina.
According to the agreement, at least 1,500 units will be purchased by EDA over the next three years.
EDA President and Chief Executive Officer Javier Wolcoff said the deal is reflective of the growing demand for renewable energy in South America and the increasing cost of oil and gas.
Both Wolcoff and Ian Gardner, chief executive officer of Helix Wind, said the deal also suggests Helix is flexible and works well for a range of projects from off-grid power to water pumping.
