Miller met with Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyoyev to discuss long-term arrangements to purchase gas from Uzbekistan as part of a 2002 cooperative agreement brokered between the two countries, Gazprom said in a statement.
The Russian delegation included Prime Minister Vladimir Putin acting as chairman of the Russian government to Uzbekistan.
The 2002 Agreement on Strategic Cooperation includes preliminary development of the Sakhpakhty natural gas field.
The parties agreed to pricing mechanisms for Uzbek gas. The agenda included talks on constructing a gas pipeline corridor from Central Asia.
Uzbekistan is the No. 3 natural gas producer in the former Soviet Union and ranks among the Top 15 producers in the world.
