Teen solves centuries-old math problem

ABUJA, Nigeria, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Nigeria has set a goal to get 20 percent of its energy from renewable sources by 2012.
Currently renewable energy provides less than 1 percent of the country's energy demand, Nigerian newspaper This Day reported.
Victor Fodeke, head of the Nigeria Special Climate Change Unit, said there are other goals included in a new energy program for the country, including energy efficiency programs.
Fodeke said the government is planning ways to encourage the adoption of and investment in solar energy plants, wind, small hydro-energy plants and biomass energy generation.
