
NEW DELHI, April 16 (UPI) -- India said Oil and Natural Gas Corp. made 28 crude oil and gas discoveries in its on-land and offshore operational areas.
During 2007-08, state-run ONGC made 28 crude oil and natural gas discoveries -- 13 new prospects and 15 new pools -- Dinsha Patel, the junior minister for petroleum and natural gas, told Parliament Wednesday.
He said of the 13 new prospect discoveries, six are on-land and seven in eastern and western offshore areas of the country.
"In case of new pool discoveries, 13 are in the on-land and two are in the eastern offshore areas," Patel said.
He said the ONGC board approved the four growth-oriented new field development projects, which include C-series field development, B-22 cluster fields development, B-46 cluster field development and B-93 cluster fields development.
