
MOSCOW, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Russia's Lukoil said it increased its daily average oil recovery by 2.3 percent.
From January to September, the Russian oil giant increased its oil recovery to about 1.97 million barrels from 1.92 million barrels at this time last year.
In total, Lukoil extracted 72.7 million tons of oil so far this year. Lukoil's total oil refining capacity at its Russian factories and abroad was 38.64 million tons, 7.6 percent than 2006.
Lukoil is Russia's No. 2 oil recovery company in terms of volume. Its proved reserves for Jan. 1, 2007, were 20.36 million barrels of oil equivalent, including 15.93 million barrels of oil and 26.6 trillion cubic meters of gas.
In 2006 oil recovery had increased 5.6 percent to 95.2 million tons from 2005.
