Abengoa's new HQ to go green

SEVILLE, Spain, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Spain's Abengoa said its new energy-efficient headquarters will be designed by British architect Richard Rogers.

The Spanish industrial group said that the seven-building complex will incorporate environmental technologies that minimize electricity consumption as well as photovoltaic panels, hydrogen cells and efficient air conditioning, among others.

Construction of the site in Seville, which has the backing of the city council, is expected to begin by the first quarter of this year, Abengoa said.
