TBILISI, Georgia, July 10 (UPI) -- Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili will head to Turkey to attend the opening of the BTC oil pipeline with Turkish government officials.
Kavkas-Press reports Saakashvili will head to Turkey Tuesday, a day after returning from Washington, where he met with U.S. officials.

The BTC pipeline is a $4 billion, multinational project funneling oil from the Caspian Sea into Turkey through Georgia.
The Georgian government hasn't announced the schedule of events.
