KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, July 28 (UPI) -- China's foreign minister told regional leaders energy security is a top priority and cooperation on energy should achieve win-win results.

Li Zhaoxing said Thursday at a gathering of the Association of South East Nations in Kuala Lumpur that joint cooperation will create regional and global energy stability.

He called for energy diversification and environmental care and said any deals with other countries should yield a "mutual benefit," the state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
