Go Pro's Hero 4 Session is the smallest camera in the company

SAN MATEO, Calif., July 7 (UPI) -- Go Pro is releasing it's lightest, smallest camera out of its Hero product line up.

The Hero 4 Session sells for $399 and according to the company is 50 percent smaller and 40 percent lighter then other Hero 4 cameras. Unlike the Hero 4 Black and Silver, Session features a new rugged and waterproof design, which means a case is no longer required to go underwater.

The company removed the hardware and silver box that surrounded the other Go Pro models and made the newest addition to the line, more easy to use with only one button to control the system.

With it's smaller design, the gadget will be more durable to use and veteran Go Pro users will be able to use previous mounting accessorize which will still be compatible with the Session.

A dual microphone system was also added for better sound quality during certain conditions or high speed activities.

Go Pro posted an image of the new device on Instagram and wrote, "Check out the #HERO4Session, perfect for the water, and small enough for a ton of new mounting ideas."

Hero 4 Session will be available for purchase July 12.
