BARCELONA, Spain, March 1 (UPI) -- Samsung unveiled two versions of its new Samsung Galaxy S6 phone at an event in Barcelona on Sunday.

Both new versions come with a metal frame, a glass back and a simple user interface. Some things the S6 does not have that the S5 before it had are water resistance and the ability to remove the battery, which is due to the company's focus on aesthetics.

The Galaxy S6 Edge, with the curved screen, has features on the slanted sides for getting to contacts and receiving alerts. The curved side also displays convenient information like the weather and time. The company is calling it its "slimmest, most-lightweight device." It is also saying the new phones have the best cameras it has ever put on phone, which are capable of taking 4K video. The phones are 5.1" in size, like their predecessor.

While still popular, the S5 did not sell as much as the iPhone 6, so the company is working hard to produce products that are more competitive in the market.

The phones will be released in April.
