PALO ALTO, Calif., Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Mark Zuckerberg is putting the "book" in Facebook after making a New Year's resolution to read a new book every two weeks and to have users join him in a book club.

Zuckerberg created the page "A Year in Books," where Facebook users are invited to join in to read and comment in a discussion thread on the page.

"We will read a new book every two weeks and discuss it here. Our books will emphasize learning about new cultures, beliefs, histories and technologies. Suggestions for new books to read are always welcome. We ask that everyone who participates read the books and we will moderate the discussions and group membership to keep us on topic," reads the first post on the page.

The page currently has about 143,000 "likes." The suggestions for new books have flooded the page from all around the world. The top recommendations include the Bible and the Quran.

The first book listed is The End of Power by Moises Naim, a former editor at Foreign Policy, and the discussion thread has already received more than 500 comments.
