PALO ALTO, Calif., Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Tesla Motors has announced the upcoming Tesla Roadster 3.0 will be able to drive 400 miles on a single charge.
Being able to travel 400 miles on a single charge means someone driving the Roadster could drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco, Calif., without stopping, as Tesla Motors CEO Elon Musk tweeted on Dec. 25. The company said it has identified a new battery cell that has 31 percent more energy than the cells used in the original Roadster.
