WASHINGTON, Dec. 23 (UPI) -- Keurig Green Mountain is recalling over 7 million coffee makers sold in North America after customers reported the machine sprayed hot liquid at them, causing severe burns in some cases.
The United States Consumer Protection Agency received roughly 200 notices from Keurig MINI Plus Brewing Systems owners complaining that "water can overheat during brewing, spray out and burn consumers." Of those 200, the CPA says just under half reported suffering "burn-related injuries" after using the MINI Plus.
