Jawbone users can now pair two Mini Jambox speakers for better sound

Jawbone says that feedback suggests that users were using their speakers outside the house and office in locations like restaurants as well, which make the pairing feature a value addition for users.

SAN FRANCISCO, May 13 (UPI) -- Jawbone's Mini Jambox wireless Bluetooth speakers can now be paired to play in unison with double the volume and channel control.

Users will be able to download an update for the speakers from Jawbone.com after which they can press all three buttons on the speaker -- volume up, volume down, and play -- to make the device look for other speakers to pair with.

Once connected, the speakers can be played in unison giving the more volume, or in stereo mode for a left and right stereo listening experience. Users can toggle between modes by holding down the volume up and volume down on any of the speakers.

"It's the only speaker that delivers this kind of sound quality for its size, letting you enjoy and share all of your favorite audio wherever you are," Travis Bogard, vice president of product management and strategy, said in a statement.

And if pairing two speakers was not enough, Jawbone will allow two Bluetooth-enabled phones or tablets to pair with the speakers as well.

Jawbone says that after launching the Mini Jambox six months ago, they received feedback that users were using the speakers out of the home in locations such as restaurants and adding the pairing feature would improve their experiences.
