It's a light week for economic reports

NEW YORK, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- The economic reports calendar is sparse through the week:

-- Tuesday: Statistics Canada is set to release its wholesale and manufacturing sales report for November.

-- Wednesday: The Bank of England is scheduled to release minutes from its Jan. 9 policy meeting; Britain's Office of National Statistics will have a national employment situation report covering personal earnings and an updated unemployment rate; the Bank of Canada will announce the outcome of its monthly monetary policy meeting.

-- Thursday: Markit Economics will release a purchasing managers index report for the eurozone in January; StatsCan releases a retail report for November; the U.S. Labor Department provides its weekly unemployment benefits report; the U.S. Federal Reserve releases December's housing price index; the Chicago Federal Reserve will report the national business activity index; the Conference Board will release its December leading index report; and the National Association of Realtors is set to release existing home sales figures for December.

-- Friday: StatsCan releases a consumer price index for December.
