LONDON, Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Britain's gross domestic product rose 0.8 percent in the third quarter over the second, the Office of National Statistics said its second GDP estimate.

The second estimate is unchanged from the first, which was released in late October.

If it holds in the final estimate next month, the third quarter will have posted the fastest economic acceleration of the year after a gain of 0.4 percent in the first quarter and 0.7 percent in the second.

Total production rose 0.6 percent compared to the second quarter with manufacturing up 0.9 percent, ONS said.

Construction rose 1.7 percent, quarter to quarter and total services rose 0.7 percent, ONS said.
