The price per barrel started the week near $101 but fell throughout the week, meaning the price was down for the seventh week in the past eight.
Home heating oil added a penny to close at $2.91 a gallon.
Natural gas rose nearly eight cents to settle at $3.71 per million British thermal units.
Reformulated blendstock gasoline lost less than a half-cent to close at $2.59 a gallon.
At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline dropped to $3.315 per gallon from Thursday's $3.329, AAA's Daily Fuel Gauge Report said.
