Britain's trade deficit shrank slightly in August

LONDON, Oct. 9 (UPI) -- The British trade deficit dropped slightly in July, the Office of National Statistics said Wednesday.

The monthly deficit fell from $5.4 billion in July to $5.2 billion in August, the data office said.

Britain's trade balance included a $15.2 billion deficit on goods trading and a $10 billion surplus on service-oriented trades, ONS said.
