WASHINGTON, May 13 (UPI) -- U.S. retailer Meijer is recalling about 4,560 portable baseboard heaters imported from China due to reports of overheating, a watchdog agency said.

The U.S. Consumer Products Safety Commission said the retailer had received two reports of overheating, including one report of a fire resulting from use of Touch Point model BBC-1500 portable heaters.

The product has "Touch Point" on the front. The heaters are black and measure about 30 inches long by six inches deep and 12 inches high.

The heaters were imported by Meijer Distribution Inc. of Grand Rapids, Mich., and sold from September 2011 through February 2013 for about $50.

Consumers were advise to stop using the heaters and return them to the retailer for a full refund.

Consumers can call 800-927-8699 for information.
