The company said it would invest $1.5 million to install more than 200 Blink charging stations and 25 DC Fast Chargers at 125 Kroger stores.

The company already has charging stations at 60 locations, including some in Oregon, Washington and Texas.

"Retailers across the country are quickly realizing the benefits of installing our Blink chargers. Independent research shows that Blink card holders routinely reward these establishments with more time in their stores and repeat business," said Ravi Brar, chief executive officer of ECOtality Inc., which produces Blink charging stations.
