CHICAGO, March 8 (UPI) -- Grains closed mixed on the Chicago Board of Trade Friday as the dollar index jumped 0.79 percent to 82.75 on the International Exchange.
Corn was up 7 1/4 to up 13 3/4; soybeans were off 10 1/2 to up 5; wheat was off 1 1/4 to up 3 1/4 and oats were up 1/4 to up 9 1/4.
Corn closed moderately higher although tight stocks are failing to provoke a substantial buying spree. Wheat futures were mixed Friday, with pressure from the dollar and India's export push putting pressure on prices. Soybean prices were lower as traders wait for renewed demand from China.
